Venous Doppler Evaluation

One size does not fit all. Here at Ageless Rejuvenation Center, we offer a customized approach to vein treatment. To more effectively bring our clients tailored treatment plans, we offer Venous Doppler Evaluation as a diagnostic tool. A non-invasive procedure, the Venous Doppler Ultrasound serves as an initial step to the treatment process for clients desiring to address painful or unsightly veins.

The Venous Doppler Ultrasound is a procedure that allows us to utilize the power of ultrasound to examine the veins of our patients. While standard ultrasounds can only provide images of blood vessels, a Venous Doppler Ultrasound allows us to see how your blood flows through veins and arteries.

How Does it Work?

The technology works similarly to sonar technology and is an “inside look” at your legs’ circulatory system. Images are captured using sound waves, and our physicians use the produced images of tissue to evaluate blood flow through the blood vessels in your legs.

The Doppler technology used in Venous Doppler Ultrasound is useful when evaluating veins because it measures both the speed and the direction of blood cells as they travel. Cell movement creates pitch changes in reflected sound waves, and these changes appear as color pictures or graphs.

After reviewing blood flow, we can locate and identify damaged or dysfunctional valves in your leg veins and pinpoint the cause of low blood circulation. The result is a customized and effective vein treatment that’s right for you.

The Ultrasound Procedure

The Venous Doppler Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that is entirely painless. A typical test takes up to half an hour, and most of our clients find the process to be relaxing and pleasant. Before treatment, you’ll need to remove all clothing, jewelry, and other accessories from your legs or any other area that will require testing.

The Venous Doppler Ultrasound procedure begins with our patient on an exam table. One of our technologists will hold a transducer, which is a hand-held device that looks like a microphone and attaches to a scanner with a cord. A clear gel is then applied to your skin, and the transducer is smoothed across the body as it sends out high-frequency sound waves into the targeted area.

As sound waves bounce off your blood vessels, the transducer records minimal alterations in the pitch and direction. Our physicians can see the resulting real-time ultrasound image on the video screen, which is a composite of the loudness, pitch, and time required for an ultrasound signal to travel from the body to the transducer. The visual data is collected to begin developing the course of an effective vein treatment plan for you.

Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation

The symptoms that come with vein disease and varicose veins should be treated from the inside out. Ageless Rejuvenation Center offers Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation, also called RF ablation, as a common and minimally invasive procedure for treating large, straight veins. This state-of-the-art procedure harvests the power of radiofrequency energy to heat, seal, and ultimately shrink and collapse diseased veins. With radiofrequency ablation, we can address the underlying cause of varicose veins and venous reflux disease symptoms, all without the invasive nature of vein stripping. The result is beautiful legs free of unsightly and painful veins.

More effective, has fewer complications, and is associated with much less pain during recovery than traditional vein stripping

Virtually no scars because catheter placement requires incisions of only a few millimeters

Results occur quickly, and there is a noticeable improvement in symptom relief following the procedure

Most treated veins are effectively invisible 12 months after the procedure

Patients experience little to no downtime and can return to normal daily activities within 24 hours

Patients That Match

We take pride in delivering vein solutions that are tailored to each patient. To determine if a patient’s varicose veins are suitable for radiofrequency ablation, our practitioners conduct Venous Doppler Evaluations. This allows us to observe the shape, size, and pattern of the varicose veins, which are qualifying factors for Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation.

Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation is not a treatment for small spider veins and can only be successfully performed on large, straight veins in the legs since the catheter cannot be passed through a tortuous varicose vein.

Often, our practitioners target the greater saphenous vein in the thigh or the small saphenous vein in the calf for ablation, so patients experiencing difficulties with these veins are perfect candidates for the procedure. These veins commonly feed smaller varicose veins, which disappear after treatment of one or both large feeder veins.

Our Process

The Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation procedure typically takes one hour. A small amount of a local anesthetic will be injected around the targeted vein. Then, a small nick is made in the skin, and a catheter will be placed into your vein. Our physician will use Ultrasound to guide the path of the catheter.

Once the tip of the catheter has reached the correct place, a radiofrequency tip is placed within the vein. Your physician injects numbing medication directly around the vein, and then the inside is heated by radiofrequency waves.

Once the treatment is completed, the catheter is removed, and pressure is used to prevent or control any bleeding, and we place a small bandage over the puncture site. You will need to wear compression stockings for about 48 hours after the procedure, and you are free to walk immediately.

VenaSeal®

Our patients look for a range of services to deal with vein issues which include VenaSeal®. Ageless Rejuvenation Center is proud to offer the only FDA approved non-thermal, non-tumescent, and non-sclerosant vein procedure for our clients. This treatment utilizes proprietary medical grade glue to seal off the central saphenous vein in the thigh.

Once the vein has been glued shut, it undergoes a process of hardening (sclerosis) and is gradually absorbed by the body. The VenaSeal® procedure is safe and minimally invasive, making it an excellent option for clients who wish to address problematic superficial veins with minimal pain or discomfort.

Knowing More About VenaSeal®

Our vein solutions are tailored to each client. To determine if a patient’s varicose veins are suitable for the VenaSeal® procedure, our practitioners conduct Venous Doppler Evaluations before creating a treatment plan. This allows us to observe and assess your problematic superficial veins and tailor a treatment plan to best suit your needs.

VenaSeal® does not require multiple needle sticks like other vein procedures. Only one is necessary to give the catheter access to the vein, making it ideal for clients with lower pain thresholds.

Because the procedure uses glue to close varicose veins, the only thing our patients feel is the light pressure applied by our physician to seal the treated vein.

Our patients typically experience minimal bruising and are usually able to resume their normal activities just 24 hours after being treated.

How the Process Works

During the procedure, your physician fills a syringe with the medical adhesive, which is inserted into the VenaSeal® closure system’s dispensing gun. This gun is attached to a catheter, which is advanced into the diseased vein under ultrasound guidance.

The catheter is placed in specific areas along the diseased vein, and your physician conducts a series of trigger pulls to deliver the medical adhesive. Compression is applied to the leg during the procedure.

Once the catheter is removed, a bandage is then placed over the puncture site. Following the VenaSeal® treatment you may immediately return to your normal activities.

Microphlebectomy — Jacksonville, FL — Ageless Rejuvenation Center

Microphlebectomy

Ageless Rejuvenation Center offers Microphlebectomy as a part of our suite of services for vein treatments. Microphlebectomy, also known as ambulatory phlebectomy, refers to the safe and effective removal of varicose veins without surgery. As a non-invasive procedure, Microphlebectomy can offer symptomatic relief from painful legs and help you become more comfortable and confident in the appearance of your legs.

Because they are flexible and collapse easily, large superficial veins can be micro extracted through small nicks in the skin. The blood that was typically carried by the extracted vein is rerouted to another vein deeper in the leg. This allows circulation and blood flow to become more efficient, and our patients are left with beautiful legs that are free from the pain of varicose veins.

Why Microphlebectomy?

The procedure of Microphlebectomy is effective in treating varicose veins while ensuring that our patients do not receive negative results. Following the treatment, you can immediately go back to your normal schedule with a success rate of more than 90%.

Risks that are associated with other procedures treating varicose veins are eliminated with Microphlebectomy. There is no use of general anesthesia and very small puncture sites.

The Right Patients

We believe in the importance of delivering vein solutions that are tailored to each client. To determine if a patient’s varicose veins are suitable for Microphlebectomy, our practitioners conduct Venous Doppler Evaluations before creating a treatment plan.

We often perform Microphlebectomy as a part of a larger comprehensive treatment plan in complement to other procedures, such as Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation. Through a thorough evaluation, we will tailor the multi-procedural approach that will best suit your needs and yield the most effective results.

Your Procedure

Your Microphlebectomy procedure is performed in one of our comfortable outpatient procedure rooms, using a local anesthetic. The physician will outline the vein(s) to be removed, and your leg will be cleansed and prepared for the treatment.

A local anesthetic is administered to eliminate any discomfort during the procedure. Abnormal or diseased veins are then accessed and removed through a series of pinhole perforations using a special set of instruments.

Once the diseased veins have been removed, your leg is bandaged, and a compression stocking is then placed and worn for 48 hours. We encourage you to we walk around for a few moments in order to ensure your bandages and compression socks are comfortable. Patients usually return to our offices in two weeks for a follow-up.

Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy

Ultrasound-guided Sclerotherapy (UGS) is a minimally invasive procedure used for treating medium to large varicose veins. Ageless Rejuvenation Center provides this cutting-edge treatment as a part of our tailored vein solutions.

It features ultrasound technology that helps us to see dilated deep-seated veins that are not entirely visible on the surface of the skin. Sclerotherapy starts with an injection that closes the walls of your varicose veins. The blood originally traveling through these veins needs to find another route.

Advantages for Our Candidates

We are committed to the best vein solutions that we can tailor to our patients. We conduct Venous Doppler Evaluations to determine if your veins are best suited for Ultrasound-guided Sclerotherapy. Our physicians observe the shape, size, and pattern of the varicose veins, and determine if UGS would be an effective treatment option.

Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy uses technology where our physicians can inject sclerosant into the precise location of your varicose veins using a live view. This procedure is safe and reliable. Our physicians monitor the effect and protect adjacent structures.

The Step-by-Step Procedure

We start by conducting a Venous Doppler Evaluation, which serves as a map of your veins, using ultrasound. This map shows all your abnormal veins and helps us identify the source of the surface varicosities.

After the ultrasound, we will numb the treatment area with a small amount of local anesthetic to minimize discomfort. Using the ultrasound mapping, your physician will inject the problematic veins with sclerosant medication while observing a live-view of the process on the ultrasound monitor.

Once injected, the treated veins will spasm shut, and your body will dissolve and absorb the closed veins. The number of injections needed depends on the mapping and severity of your varicose veins.

Following the procedure, our physicians apply bandages and compression stockings. We recommend that you wear these stockings during the day for four to seven days after treatment. On the day of the procedure, we recommend avoiding high-impact activity. You may resume your normal activities the day after your treatment.

Four to six weeks after your initial procedure, we’ll have you come back to our offices for a follow-up visit where we’ll conduct an additional diagnostic ultrasound. This allows us to find any additional veins that need treatment and address any areas of discomfort.

Sclerotherapy For Spider Veins — Jacksonville, FL — Ageless Rejuvenation Center

Sclerotherapy for Spider Veins

Sclerotherapy for spider veins is a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of small spider veins that are offered at Ageless Rejuvenation Center. It is akin to Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy but differs in that it is designed to target the smaller superficial spider veins of our patients and the procedure is more streamlined.

With Sclerotherapy, a unique solution is injected into your spider veins. The walls of these veins are then forced to close, and blood can no longer travel through them, requiring it to find another route. Your treated spider veins will dissolve and absorb into your body. As the spider veins disappear over time, the result is beautiful, pain-free legs.

Advantages of Sclerotherapy

Patients who are in good health and have unsightly superficial spider veins are generally good candidates for Sclerotherapy for spider veins. The practitioners here at Ageless Rejuvenation Center evaluate your veins using Venous Doppler Examinations.

Spider Veins are also called Telangiectasias and are typically reddish and measure 0.1 to 1 mm in diameter. Spider veins can be isolated but are often associated with a deeper underlying problem chronic venous insufficiency.

The shape, size, and pattern of the spider veins are checked by our physicians. This process determines if Sclerotherapy would be the best approach for you.

Prompt Results

Spider veins respond and typically begin disappearing in three to eight weeks.

No Downtime

Our patients undergo Sclerotherapy at our state-of-the-art facility and can go home right after the procedure.

Trusted Results

Sclerotherapy is a tried and true method of spider vein removal. Side effects are rare, and our patients consistently see great results.

Comfort

Sclerotherapy for spider veins eliminates the need for surgical incisions, providing more comfort and minimal scarring for our patients.

Your treatment begins with your leg being cleansed and prepared for treatment. With a small needle, we inject the solution, directly into the targeted spider veins.

Once injected, the veins will spasm shut and eventually your body will dissolve and absorb the closed veins. The average treatment takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on how many veins are being treated.

After the procedure is complete, we apply bandages and compression stockings. We recommend that you wear these stockings during the day for seven days after your treatment and avoid high-impact activity such as exercise and prolonged direct sun exposure.
