PLASMA IQ™ Treatment Stages
Stage 1
As the device is brought close to the skin during treatment, it ionizes nitrogen gas particles in the air to create a plasma arc which heats and disrupts the deeper dermal structure of the skin. It causes microinjuries resulting in small brown scabs on the skin.
Stage 2
The plasma arc causes sublimation of the epidermis of the skin, resulting in immediate skin tightening and retraction in the target area. This method of plasma sublimation is highly targeted and controlled. It does not transfer heat to the surrounding area.
The procedure creates tiny brown carbon crusts or scabs in the treated area that persist for approximately one week before dropping off.
Stage 3
The microinjuries sustained during treatment promote the long-term firming, tightening, and smoothing effects that are part of the natural healing response. This stimulates collagen and elastin which continues to improve over 12 weeks.
