Here at Ageless Rejuvenation Center, we provide IPL or Intense Pulsed Light as a method of photo rejuvenation that improves your skin’s texture, tone, and appearance. This treatment is perfect for clients looking to reduce fine lines, minimize skin imperfections, and increase their skin’s elasticity.
IPL treatment can address numerous skin conditions, without injuring the skin’s surface. It offers our clients a gentle, long-lasting solution for visible signs of skin damage and aging.
The Finer Details
IPL treatment is like laser treatment; however, it differs in the number of wavelengths it focuses on your skin. With a laser, it focuses just one wavelength of light at your skin while IPL releases light of a multitude of wavelengths.
This results in the light being more scattered and less focused than a laser. IPL tends to be gentler than laser resurfacing because it’s light penetrates down to the second layer of your skin without damaging the top layer.
The pigment cells in your skin absorb the light energy, which is converted into heat. The heat destroys the unwanted pigment to clear up freckles, spots, and imperfections. It also stimulates new collagen to form, which results in smaller pores, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and minimized skin imperfections. IPL can successfully treat many different skin issues.
- Age Spots & Sun Damage
- Broken Capillaries
- Fine lines and wrinkle
Improve your skin texture, tone, and appearance.
IPL and You
Most of the candidates who are proper fit for IPL are those with darker hair colors or lighter skin tones. While our solutions are tailored to our clients, we do not recommend IPL treatment to patients of darker skin complexions and lighter hair colors.
Our physicians consult with each patient to determine if IPL is the best course of treatment.
Receiving IPL Treatment
Your IPL treatment begins with our skin care specialists cleaning the area that’s being treated and applying a gel to your skin. We provide you with special protective goggles for your eyes. Our trained staff will apply light pulses from the IPL device to your skin. Most patients describe the feeling of this process like being snapped with a rubber band.
Depending on the size and the area of your body that is being treated, your IPL treatment should take 20 to 30 minutes. There is typically no downtime following your procedure and with minimal discomfort.
